Symbian - the leading mobile operating system - has launched Symbian Ready program for those who want to show quality of their products to cutomers, mannufacturers, operators and key decision makers in mobile market. Symbian Ready is a new ecosystem program aimed at driving improvements in the quality of partner software solutions. Symbian Ready helps partners to make the most of Symbian OS technologies and develop solutions in the most efficient way. Partners joining the program will have the opportunity to team up with Symbian to showcase the quality of their solution to handset manufacturers through a variety of co-marketing initiatives such as the Symbian Ready Directory and promotion on Symbian Developer Network.
Currently there are two routes for participating in Symbian Ready program:
AUTO: partners self-validate against specified Symbian Ready criteria for specific technology areas. At present, partners can validate for FreeWay applications via this route.
VERO: Symbian validates partner solutions against Symbian Ready test criteria for specific functionality. At present, Partners can validate for NAND Flash applications via this route. Symbian Ready VERO carries a fixed cost for each technology area.
