No mobile business for Lenova

It’s official–Lenovo is out of the mobile handset business. Many people may not even have known that Lenovo had a handset business (the handsets were sold primarily in China), but PCWorld reported that Lenovo completed the sale of its handset unit on March 31st.

After Motorola's bloodbath in 2007, Lenova has also suffered from competitions. While Motorola has decided to separate its manufacturing business from application development business, Lenova decided t0 completely shut-down its mobile business.

Can't believe it that Lenova had a mobile business. But whatever happened in their mobile business,it's true that their computer business is growing day by day.

Well, Lenova is one of the members of S60 community....the most popular UI SDK in mobile business. I think mobile manufaturers have to re-design their business strategy/model to survive in the business.

I believe they beat HP/Dell in PC business but then HP is still no. 1 in laptop business.
