Tata Teleservices has announced a new location-based service that claims to be the first in the country to use Qualcomm's Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology.
Using Qualcomm's QPoint and gpsOne solutions, this service will allow developers create precise, reliable, and compelling location-based applications. The A-GPS service will leverage triangulation with cellular base stations and satellite-based GPS for precise location in both rural and urban environments, including the inside of buildings and structures.
